Midway Through Weekend Projects

We’re past the midway mark for this year’s Weekend Projects series with ten beginner-friendly electronics projects. Two weeks ago we introduced Arduino to series with the Touchless 3D Tracking Interface. There are calls to mod that project into everything from a game controller for Minecraft to a larger, human-scale interface. Over the month’s, we’ve hacked readymade printed circuit boards, worked with breadboards, and even done some light carpentry to mount our projects onto. We introduced a few fundamental motor circuits, made a battery-less radio, and also launched a lot of rockets… all at once!

Our upcoming projects are equally as exciting. Since we’re busy test-building some of them in the MAKE Labs, I won’t give away all of the secrets, but they include projects ranging from a data logger to a memory game to a motion-sensing alarm.
