October is Lupus Awareness Month

Crafter Jessica Wilson (a.k.a. Jek in the Box) is looking to spread the word about Lupus Awareness Month, which is happening right now. From her Etsy page:

Since 1977, October has been Lupus Awareness Month. While I appreciate all the hard work and effort geared for Breast Cancer Awareness Month I want to give an extra shout out for help and assistance to the Lupus Foundation of America. I lost my mother to Lupus when I was 29 and knowing that there is a genetic predisposition keeps me on my toes. For the month of October I will be selling special edition items in shades of purple. All proceeds will be donated to the Lupus Foundation of America. Thank you!
