The American Gas and Steam Engine Museum Is Hosting a Mini Maker Faire

Theย San Diego Makers Guildย will be staging theย North County Mini Maker Faireย atย theย American Gas and Steam Engine Museumย (AGSEM)ย in Vista on June 18 and 19. We feel strongly that one big Maker Faire downtown in Balboa Park isn’t enough for our bustling maker city.ย North County is an area that’s rich with makers and full of making activity.ย Along withย AGSEM, we will hold a celebration of making in North County. Tickets are available online or at the door.

Why at AGSEM? If you’ve been there then you already know. The Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museumย focuses on the 1840’s through 1920โ€™s with exhibitsย of tools and equipment from anย era where everyone was a maker. What better place toย celebrate making!?

North County Maker Faire will be within AGSEM’sย Antique Engine & Tractor Show.ย  They’ll have a tractor parade, demonstrations of milling and weaving and blacksmithing and more, wagon rides, food, and fun galore. Forย the price of admission to the Show you get Maker Faire for free. Modern makers in the context of theย museum’s annual celebration just makes sense.

Bring Dad on Sunday andย hisย ticket is free on Father’s Day!
