I adore the stitching on the cover of this vintage children’s book, which hails from the collection of Pixiegenné. I wish modern book publishers would integrate handicrafts a bit more, as the effect is so lovely and memorable. Link.

I remember having that book when I was a little girl! I loved it and remember the stitching very well. The saturation of images always kinda reminded me of the It’s a Small World ride at Disneyland. I especially like how she illustrated “The Wind”.
I LOVE this book the inside is amazing!
Another book with amazing stitched illustrations is ‘The Fabrics of Fairytale” – Stories Spun from Far and Wide, illustrated by Rachel Griffin.
I just found an alphabet book illustrated with stitchery by Virginia Tiffany. Look: http://beinred.blogspot.com/2009/02/friday-find.html
