Stunning Layered Wax Type Sculpture

Collaborative duo Keetra Dean Dixon and JK Keller like to play with their materials and “misuse” them in unexpected ways.

By testing our means of making, we test our own capacity as makers, revealing the unexpected along the way.

Although it was made way back in 2009, as a commission for President Obama’s inauguration, the work is currently on display in the NYC Makers exhibition at The Museum of Arts and Design if you’d like to see it for yourself.
