Can’t get enough MythBusters? Not to worry, Adam Savage along with Norman Chan and Will Smith (who will be leaving the company after this last hurrah) of Tested.com are hosting the Tested Live show this Friday night at the Castro Theater in San Francisco.
The show will be a live version of the magic you see on Tested, featuring a variety of topics from drones and biosuits to live demonstrations, the newest technology, and awesome Maker projects. The show will also feature a live recording of Savage interviewing Dr. Dava Newman for Savage’s series The Talking Room.
Tested has curated some of the biggest stars in science and tech for the show. This year’s speakers include:
- Dr. Dava Newman — Discussing NASA, biosuits, and the engineering and science behind it.
- Eric Cheng, formerly of DJI — Presenting the most recent changes with the popular Phantom aerial-imaging quadcopter.
- Frank Ippolito — Special effects artist known for the life-size Farnsworth, Zoidberg, and Rancor projects.
- Bobak Ferdowsi — The popular NASA engineer who served on the Cassini-Huygens and MSL Curiosity missions, also know for his awesome mohawk and star-dyed hair.
- Megan Prelinger — Author and cultural historian that will be discussing her books Another Science Fiction and Inside the Machine.
- Marty Cooper — AKA Homber McSteez, who creates hand drawn animations that will be displayed during the show.
This show helps kick off the Bay Area Science Festival. The night offers a great mix of Makers, science, art, and tech with a whole lot of fun. See you at the show!
