Chuck has this week’s installment of “The week in tools”–
We looked at lots of practical tools this week, including some uber-inexpensive interlocking flooring that’s great for anywhere you stand a lot – like the workbench – and costs about a quarter as much as the tool-store standard, a five-outlet extension cord adapter that snaps to the cable so it doesn’t come unplugged, and a tape-style adhesive that’s all adhesive with no backing – great for outdoor trim installation on houses or sticking anything on where fastener access is a problem. TM readers also talked about and recommended some cold weather gloves and commented on whether or not WD-40 is still a “wonder tool” like duct tape. The verdict: It’s still a great water dispersal tool, but there are some killer penetrants and lubricants on the market.
