Jane from Jane and the Ducks recently posted about a vintage craft, jewelry and millinery supply shop just north of Bethesda, Maryland called Accessories of Old. According to their web site, they sell all new old stock supplies that have made up the inventory of the family business, Danzinger’s, since 1918. Lisa, the granddaughter of the business founder, moved with her family to the States in 2001 and later had the pristine vintage fashion accessories shipped overseas to their new home in Maryland. They’ve since painstainkingly inventoried each item and have set up an extensive online store. A year ago, they also opened up a storefront in Bethesda and are celebrating their anniversary with free shipping through the end of January. I’ve only spent a small time browsing their online store, but already I’m drooling over the amazing items they showcase. I’ve also had fun catching up on their blog. The brief series of “Something old, something ___” with a color theme for each day was gorgeous!
