Sixty-six makers have entered and are now competing for your support. Votes will be counted until 11:59pm PT on Tuesday, August 13th. You can vote once per project every 24 hours, and you can vote for as many projects in that period as you wish. From the top 10 projects with the most votes, one maker will be chosen to receive $2,500 for a trip to NYC next month to exhibit at World Maker Faire!

Contests and competitions like this are always interesting as they offer a glimpse into what makers are working on in their garages, studios, and makerspaces. From homemade large format 3D printers to hand crafted synthesizers, there are both emerging trends and thematic similarities to be gleaned from what makers are up to these days. The galleries below are not comprehensive of all the projects competing in this contest but they group like-minded projects together.
