I know dear Craftzine readers you have been asking yourselves, who is Michelle that’s been posting lately on the blog here? Who’s been posting about these awesome DIY Halloween Horns or this Bored Jacket? Well fear not! I am now happy to introduce you to our new addition to the CRAFT blog, Michelle Kempner. But you know this awesome gal already cuz it’s Michelle’s knit police line scarf that graces the cover of CRAFT: 04. Welcome Michelle!
Here’s a bit more about Michelle in her own words:
I’m an avid crafter and technologist living in Brooklyn, NY with my husband James, co-founder of the Graffiti Research Lab. For the last several years we have documented our robotic and tech collaborations on robotclothes.com. Recently, I have turned from rapid prototyping with laser cutters and 3D printers to slow motion prototyping with needles and yarn. My favorite projects are objects taken out of context and remade as incongruous knitted items like the police tape on the cover of CRAFT: 04. During the day, I work as a techy person at an interactive agency. During the night, I blog my movie confessions at movieconfession.com. I am excited to contribute to the CRAFT blog and share some of my favorite projects and ideas.
