Longtime CRAFT and MAKE contributor Annie Buckley has curated an online art exhibit on the venerable HuffPo. On Seeing is a great collection of emerging and established artists from around the globe, all using ordinary, every day items — Popsicle sticks, paper strips, soccer balls, patrol uniforms, grocery bags, vintage clothing, traffic lights — to make art.
This Huffington Post exhibition “explores the depth of how we see and reflect on art while expanding the range of ways to view art,” Buckley explains. “The nine artists in this exhibition transform and transfigure the stuff of everyday life into something new that reverberates with the visual, conceptual, and psychological power inherent in a shift in perspective.”
Check it out! You don’t even have to leave your couch and you can tell everyone you went to an international art exhibition.
