Power Racing Series at Maker Faire KC

Insanely modded power wheels! Nerf fights! Magic smoke! Just another regular day of racing Power Wheels. The first round of the Power Racing Series, a $500 electric racing competition, took place this past weekend at Maker Faire KC. Teams earn points through speed, creativity and crowd pleasing. The next round in the Championship will be in Detroit at the end of July and the first week of August in Chicago.

Gotta say congrats to my friends on the Hack Factory team, consisting of
Steven Anderson, David Bryan, Jude Dornisch, Karin Fitchett, Riley Harrison, Andy Kvamme, Brandon Paplow, and Becca Steffen. The team got their best showing yet, taking 4th place with their new whip, car #26, aka the Scooter of Death. You can see Karin wiping out gloriously between 0:54 and 0:57 of the video.
