“The Race” at the Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire

It’s inevitable that the success of the Midwest-centric Power Racing Series (PPPRS) has caused a similar group to spring up elsewhere in the country. The Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire is organizing “The Race” where ride-on electric toys are converted into ferocious speed machines.

The Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire – Powered by TekVenture has officially launched “The Race” – a featured activity of our 2012 event. “The Race” (not affiliated with PPPRS) consists of modifying an electric ride on vehicle for kids, bringing it to Headwaters Park Oct. 6 & 7 to drag race through an obstacle course that includes water, gravel, sand, and bark. The fastest time will earn bragging rights.

Sounds like tons of fun! You can download the rules document as well as a registration form (both Word files) if you’re interested in participating.
