Update: Ramriot writes – “This is a really bad offer, you can get practically the same thing for less than 1/2 the price by buying a similar SIM product and getting a cheap unlocked local pre-pay mobile (very common in Europe). See my blog posting: http://this-flat-earth.blogspot.com/2006/05/global-mobiles.html

In the UK for example you can get an unlocked GSM phone for around $30 including a $10 local SIM, then buy a global SIM from http://0044.co.uk for $55. put them together and off you go.

I have done this and apart from the strange way of dialling (you dial the international number, it cuts you off and then returns your call connecting you to your dialled destination). This way all calls are incoming and you only pay for the cheapest carrier transport.”
