Craig of flashingleds was apparently looking for distractions from his PhD work, so he built a magstripe card spoofer to try and gain entry into his own research lab. He’s not the first to attempt such a project, however he did go the extra mile and built a nice-looking circuit board to complete the project. Unfortunately, the device wasn’t able to work with the security system in question, however it would be a good starting point for a project that only needs to emulate a single track on a magnetic swipe card.
