So, quite some time ago I won a box of LCD displays on an ebay auction. Turns out there were more than a hundred of them, they we’re brand new, and in the manufacturers original packaging. Cool! If I can get them work at all it’ll be the deal of the century, and if not, I’m not out all that much. I started searching for data and after burning up MANY hours on the web, pretty much came up blank. I’ve decided that probably someone out there has the info I need, and maybe this little contest will motivate them to share the info with me.

I searched 20s on Google : it’s a “Nokia 6230 original LCD module”
the folks at hacker’s bench know that, they’re looking for more information…

No joke. (I’m the Hacker’s Bench guy).
A Google search (as well as one on eBay) will lead you to dozens of places SELLING the display, but nothing about interfacing or using them.
The Sparkfun links (I found them early on) are a different display. That one has a 10-pin interface, and the 6320 displays I have have a 24-pin interface. Different controller alltogether.
I have received quite a few emails, including one that provided a datasheet that looks close enough that I’m going to lash up an Arduino to see if it’s the right one.

Good luck with the datasheet… I was going to suggest pulling one of them apart to see if there was anything inside there that could help you out. I was also going to suggest maybe calling Sharp’s Microelectronics Division to see if they could help you out any.
