MAKE Asks: Projects from our Pages

MAKE Asks: is a weekly column where we ask you, our readers, for responses to maker-related questions. We hope the column sparks interesting conversation and is a way for us to get to know more about each other.

This week’s question: What projects have you tried that have been featured either in MAKE Magazine or on our website? What did you do to put your own twist on it?

When broadcast television made the switch to digital, I followed along with John Edgar Park’s Homemade DTV Antenna. My version worked very well, but I wanted to get some better performance out of it because I was living in a rural area at the time. I did some research into antenna design and added a reflector made out of chicken wire. I was glad to find it netted me a few extra channels.

Post your responses in the comments section.
