The LED Cube kit is an animated 3x3x3 cube composed of 27 individual single-color LEDs. This project was a popular hack of the MiniPOV, and now the Maker Shed carries a kit that contains all the parts needed to make you own. The LED Cube kit was inspired by the amazing color 3D Borg cube by Das-Labor.

Update: Andrew Stock created a super-easy-to-use web-based tool that lets you visually design your own animation patterns for the LEDcube. The results can be easily pasted into the LEDcube firmware and programmed into the LEDcube. (When creating Code, choose “Height-depth-width order”). His web-based tool can be found here. (works best using Firefox)
