Inspiration for the Raspberry Pi Design Contest – Win a Printrbot Jr.!

Raspberry Pi

RPiDC_MCM-buttonIf there’s one new skill you should learn this year, it’s getting your Raspberry Pi up and running! From media centers to dog treat machines, makers are quickly prototyping their ideas using the Pi. And with the launch of the first ever Raspberry Pi Design Contest, we’re looking for novel builds that make use of this affordable Linux-based computer. Pi projects should fall into one of the following four categories: Artistic, Utility, Education, Enclosure. To give you some inspiration I’ve included a slideshow below of previous projects we’ve covered on the MAKE blog.

Did I mention there are prizes?

It wouldn’t be a contest without prizes! Each category winner will receive a MCM Raspberry Pi Prize Package which includes: USB DMM, DC Power Supply, Digital Soldering Iron, Gertboard, Pi Face, Pi View, Wi-Pi Wireless Adapter, and Raspberry Pi Iron-On Skill Badge.

Additionally, one grand prize winner will win an aforementioned MCM prize package AND a Printrbot Jr. 3D printer! In total that’s over $3,500 in prizes to be won.
