We invited one of our favorite robot friends, InMoov, to Maker Faire Bay Area in May. And he had a blast! InMoov spent most of his time rolling about the fairgrounds on his own two wheels, exploring cool things, and most importantly, making the rounds to introduce himself to his robot brethren.
InMoov was born in January 2012, and quickly gained notoriety as the world’s first open source, 3D printed, life-sized robot. Since then, InMoov has traveled the world with his creator, Gael Langevin, and met many Makers, world leaders, and — because he’s open source — siblings of his.
As busy as InMoov is, there’s no way he could miss Maker Faire Bay Area. In a way, Maker Faire is a reunion of sorts for all of the high profile ‘bots in the Maker Movement. This is where they can touch base, beep at each other, and pose for a photo op.
Indeed, InMoov got plenty of photos with his hardware homies. Check out the robot reunion in the gallery below!
