A friend asked me to make a key for this lock. After looking at the mechanism, I realized the best way to make the key would be from one flat piece — to be strong enough, the lever on the key’s shaft would need to be integral to the key. After cutting out the pattern, I used my soft hammer and my anvil to begin the roll and I wrapped it around the shaft of a drill bit to get the correct shape. With files and trial and error, I was able to get it working smoothly.
