iPod nano speaker alarm clock
The new apple iPod nano can be used the Griffin Tunebox (meant for the shuffle). It charges and plays music just fine as expected. Nothing surprising, it’s just USB and sound, but since I’m using my ipod nano full time now, this will make a nice iPod alarm clock out of something I already had. Link. I might take it all apart and make a new enclosure.
PSP UMD Emulator V0.8
For 1.5 PSPs (I still haven’t gone to 2.0, very glad). Following in the footsteps of the Fastloader, here is another fine homebrew app for your pleasure. This time we present you a full featured UMD emulator, reboot & exitgame tight – you have to turn off your PSP completely (or crash it :p ) to get it back to original state. This is a semi-final version, some things are known not to work properly for now… Link.

HOW Atomic Fireballs are made
Atomic Fireballs are made in large rotating pans that are heated by a gas flame. Each piece of candy is formed around a single grain of sugar that is added to the pan. The candy maker, called the “panner,” adds liquid sugar to the rotating pan. This liquid sugar sticks to each grain of sugar, making a hard candy shell. This process is repeated more than 100 times over a two week period, increasing the size of the Atomic Fireball to a one inch ball. Link.
High Tech Potato Cannon
Shed Raider rolls this way “This is my newly designed patato cannon. It uses the ignition from a toyota corolla to generate the spark. However rather than a 12 volt supply it uses a 27 volt. I also added a ball valve to the back so that fuel can be inserted quickly(not in this pic)”… Link. Also see MAKE volume 3 for our HOW TO.
