The desk offerings at Ikea and other office furniture supply places seemed boring, so I decided to build my own from plumbing pipes.

Create Your Own Custom Desk from Plumbing Pipe
Create a unique desk using standard off-the-shelf plumbing supplies and a wooden desktop from Ikea (or wherever you can find one).
Get your supplies!
Home Depot, Lowe’s, or any other place which carries plumbing supplies should have all the parts you’ll need.
You’ll also need to get a table top from IKEA (or wherever).
Wash the pipes!
This is going to be furniture. The pipes are likely extremely dirty and covered in grease and filth. Wash them using some dish soap or other degreaser.
Rather than showing the piece-by-piece construction, here is the final product. All pipe pieces simply thread together.
