Get to the 2nd annual Maker Faire Seoul in South Korea this weekend to experience “Being John Makervich,” a group project led by Sung-Eun Lee using Arduino and 3D displays. Apparently you can wear the project and see the view from John Makervich’s wooden head and camera-empowered 3D goggles. (Whether or not you are transported into Being John Malkovich is unknown here in California; please comment below if you are able to make the fair and try this suit on.)

Other cool projects not to miss while at the Seoul fair:

  • baby proofing robot by Hyun-Joong Lee and friends that responds to fans, heaters, and dangerous objects.
  • KogMaw Robot, a robot modeled after a League of Legend character whose prototype was shown last year at the first Maker Faire Seoul, and whose video has charted over 500k views.
  • Pin ball Lego coin bank  by Yoon-Jae Kim that is designed to promote the idea of saving in kids; the bank offers rewards when it get enough coins.
  • International sound artist You-Jin Jeon’s chessboard that works as music instrument:

See where else in the world where makers are gathering and local Maker Faires are happening at our Maker Faire Map.
