Most people would put treehouses in the realm of โchildhood dream projects,โ but Geoff De Ruiter might change a few adult minds. Geoffโs beautiful scratch-built treehouse is more like a tiny tree-home, complete with living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two sleeping areas. Geoff also built mostย of the furniture inside the treehouse, and used some clever tricks to make the living spaces appear bigger than they are. By using reclaimed, recycled, and donated materials, heย managed to spend justย $8,200 building it. Not a bad price for your own tiny home!
The treehouse, dubbed Raven Loft,ย is built on his property in Pender Island, BC, but Geoff says that he only usesย it occasionally as a private get-away. He also offers it up for friends and family to stay in. If youโre interested in building your own, I recommend watching his extended walkthroughย below, where he talks about some of the materials used and difficulties encountered.
