Make a cheap snow camping sled

Make a cheap snow camping sled

Snowsled12 Most commercial snow camping sleds (called a pulk or pulka in Europe) and expedition sleds, are quite expensive. They can be in the several hundred dollar range, and while worth it for major a expedition, for the casual winter camper who may only do a couple of trips a winter, such an expenditure seems a little pricey. Here’s how to make one. Thanks Dan! Link.

Modded Quake III makes art

Modded Quake III makes art

Qqq QQQ is a piece of art made by modding copies of Quake III. The artist, Nullpointer, has modded the Quake III engine so that it renders out crazy, haunting, beautiful high-speed graphics instead of levels. Sometimes he gets people to play public games of Q3 on an Internet-connected server and renders out their movements in the QQQ engine at his gallery installations. The videos are just wild. HOW TO fix your magnet ruined monitor

HOW TO fix your magnet ruined monitor

Howtomessup If you messed up your monitor with a magnet…have no fear, grab a high rpm drill.. strap a couple of magnets on it. (Hard drive magnets work great. You’ll need one at least as powerful as the one that messed up the monitor.) Bring the drill to a high rpm, and point it at the monitor like a ray gun. It’ll tweak the monitor something fierce. But after you pull it away from your monitor whilst it is running, the spots will be gone. (It may take a few passes depending on the strength of the spot and magnet.) Link.

Be-Zazzled…

Be-Zazzled…

Logo-1 …Zazzle, a company targeting mass customization by allowing shoppers and store owners to create individually tailored clothes, prints, and other items. For example, customers can choose an image from a large image library, design a T-shirt using the image with online tools, and then have the T-shirt delivered to them. Lands’ End, CafePress, and other online clothing stores offer similar mass customization services on a small scale, but Doerr clearly believes that there is a substantial opportunity ‘for every individual who wants to create products that are as unique as they are.'” [via] Link.
