Eric Rochow at GardenFork liked Deek’s plywood boat so much he had to make his own. Learn to use a chalk line and see lots of build details for his custom spin on this one-sheet wonder.

Hannu’s Boatyard is an awesome resource for single, and two sheet plywood boats, currently working on the 1 1/2 sheet ‘array punt’ with intentions of adding a tiny motor : )
alot of theory of how to maximize plywood usage and most designs are not square, including an incredible 18′ canoe: 1 sheet!!
The author conveyed to me that the past couple of years his focus has been elsewhere, thus the site hasn’t been updated, and i almost feel bad sending him a flood of MAKE: viewer emails ;)
How could I not “like” this? He has 2 Yellow Labs!
Thanks Ren! Our Labs, Henry and Charlie, are a big part of our lives. They are in most of our videos. They wont sit still in a boat, they always want to swim alongside.
This would be fun with the electric drill trolling motor that was featured a few weeks ago…

Silicone, not silicon
Big thanks to Becky for posting our vid here. and thanks to Derek for the lightbulb moment to build this.

Both GardenFork and Tiny Yellow House are great blogs/podcasts. Approachable and fun projects!

I want to build one of these for my neighborhood.
I was about to link Hannu’s Boatyard, too, but apparently Pete Rippe was miles ahead of me :)

I’m thinking combine this with that drill motor thing from a couple weekends ago but replace the drill with the 36v dewalt and the battery pack with some thunderstruck cells
