Nest, a stop-motion felted wool video game by artist, crafter, programmer, and independent video game designer Ken Amarit, will be installed at Death By Audio in Brooklyn starting next week. In order to present his game in arcade form Amarit decided to build his own cabinet with felted wool.

Starting with a metal shelf that he got off of Craigslist, Amarit sewed pieces of felt together to house the game’s electronic workings including: an old laptop, some old speakers, a 27” monitor, and all the wiring for 4 Xbox 360 controllers.

After adorning his cozy cabinet with some whimsical felted clouds, it was ready for action. Nest will be on display through April if you’d like to give it a try.
