Update: This contest is now closed. Check out the winners’ designs and all of the fabulous runner-ups.
The holidays are upon us, so it’s time to break out your 3D printers and get festive. Make: is looking for the coolest, most uniquely designed holiday ornament that the community has to offer. If it’s yours, you’re in for a special treat. We’ll be giving away $100 in Shed Cred, valid on Maker Shed purchases, to the second place winner.
We have teamed up with Ultimaker to make the first place winner’s holiday season very merry indeed. The creator of our favorite ornament will be printing their future holiday decorations with a new Ultimaker 2 Extended. Ultimaker makes some of the most highly regarded printers on the market and we couldn’t be more excited to put their machine in one of your talented hands.
If you don’t own a 3D printer, don’t worry. You can still enter to win thanks to 3D Hubs. In the spirit of giving, 3D Hubs has come on board for this contest to offer contestants without 3D printers a $10 3D printing credit on their distributed manufacturing platform. To take advantage of this offer, use code ‘3DHubsMAKE’ while placing your order to print your ornament. The discount code goes into effect tomorrow, Friday, December 4th.
The contest closes on December 15th at 11:59 p.m. PST, and a winner will be announced the following week. Happy printing!
