Cool postapocalyptic cosplay from Bellingham, Washington craftsman Ivan Owen. The roadsigns, he assures us, were “obtained through legal means,” and were formed into plates by peening against an anvil, before being affixed to a harness made from belts.

This past Halloween I did a Post apocalyptic costume similar to Mad Max, I used street signs to make scale mail armor along with clothes hanger chain mail and a street sign machete.
We have been doing it for almost 50 years in the SCA except we put the writing on the inside so people don’t know we are wearing street signs.
