Automatic fetch machine for dogs…

I’m fascinated by pet technology, this is pretty clever – it’s an automatic fetch machine for dogs – the machine hurls the ball out and the dog brings it back, drops it in the bucket, over and over again – Link.

this falls in to the “small inventor had an idea. now selling it” category and also my facination with gadgets, robotics with/and pet technology.

When I visited my friend Joe in 1978, he showed me a similar invention for his black lab that guarded the family vegetable farm. Joe had a large rock with a groove cut in it. When Joe told the dog to “Fetch”, the dog put the ball in the groove. It then rolled out across the yard and the dog would chase it.
