My pal Cynthia recently posted these fresh and fun legwarmers on her blog and I’m crazy about ’em! She says they’re super stretchy and will fit skinny and plump calves with no problem, and they sound easy to knit up as well:
The basic formula: worsted weight yarn, 56 stitches knit in the round, 2×2 rib…for as long as you’d like em. (These were about 17″ long.)
I also love the colors she used, which are from the Lion Brand “Vanna’s Choice” collection. Link.

Vanna’s Choice colors are *so* nice, and it’s nice yarn too, very soft and knits/crochets up nicely. Just as an alternative to in-the-round, of course, you can knit these flat and then sew up a seam… I’ve done that before with no problems with stretchiness! :)
Wow! These are the cutest! I love the colors, and the yarn. Vanna’s Choice is a great yarn for the price. I’m a bit of a yarn snob in that I generally prefer my yarn to have SOME natural fiber. But this yarn totally won me over. Great colors, great price, and ease of availability. What more could you want?
