Charles writes – “I recently completed a piece which I thought may be appropriate for MAKE magazine – Public Fountain, 2006, is a self-contained, portable and solar powered fountain. It is designed to bring the gathering point — that the traditional urban fountain often is — into the city’s more tangental zones. Over two days in May of 2006 Public Fountain was walked from my studio in Brooklyn to Wave Hill in the Bronx where it was on view for the summer. Public Fountain was commissioned by Wave Hill.”Link.
