Back in April, I posted about Charlie Visnic, a film editor from Fullerton, CA, who had chosen a unique way to try and quite smoking — creating a blog, called “The B-Roll — One Creative Thing a Day,” and then doing a project each day and documenting it. I loved the idea, loved the content on the blog, and totally sympathized with the difficult junky-monkey eviction process. So, I thought about him tonight and checked back to see how the project’s progressing, and more importantly, how he’s faring with that monkey. He’s fallen off the wagon at least once, 30 days in, but I *think* he’s back on. Hope so. He’s definitely continuing to do many cool projects. I love the fact that they’re so varied: arts, crafts, music, writing, photography, fire-pit construction. The boy’s got a wide range of interests and talents.
The project above is Day 086 — Sand Painting. Here are a few of others:
Day 083 / A Good Use For Those Bills
Day 078 / Making A Fire Pit Pt. 1
Day 093 / Crazy Paper Thingy (He was inspired by my post here to try this project)
Hey Charlie, have you seen the one about the origami gliders? And hang in there, buddy. Your pals at MAKE are rootin’ for ya.
