I always love seeing science-themed crafts, and seeing one that involves plastic canvas sends my geek-love meter through the roof. Emily Lakdawalla recreated the Dawn spacecraft in plastic canvas to use as a model for describing what’s going on with the spacecraft’s mission. She even filled the interior with stuffing so she could use it as a pin cushion for labels. Brilliant! Read more about the project and Dawn over on The Planetary Society blog.
