Desktop in real life

This is one of my favorite projects from 1999. Ola Pehrson’s “Desktop” consists of a blue wall with Windows 95 icons hung vertically on the left side, and a camera pointing at the wall. On the desk is a monitor displaying the feed from the camera on its screen so it looks like an actual desktop. Pretty brilliant and simple way of materializing a Windows display.
