DIY Beauty: Homemade Deodorant

Homemade deodorant is one of those projects that I’ve always wanted to try, but I’ve never quite gotten around to it. I like the idea of using natural, body-friendly ingredients—especially since several of my loved ones have struggled with breast cancer, and I’d rather avoid applying potentially harmful chemicals in that area—but, somehow, I’d gotten it into my head that homemade deodorant was really hard to make, so I never even gave it a chance. Turns out, I was totally wrong. Making homemade deodorant is actually pretty darn easy.

This DIY deodorant recipe from Deborah at My Life at Playtime is filled with simple ingredients that I both recognize and can pronounce, and the melting process is totally straightforward. Now that I’ve seen how it’s done, I can’t believe I spent so much time being intimidated about making my own! I don’t know about you, but I can definitely see some homemade deodorant in my crafty future.
