Voxphoto says, “Will digital photography kill off film? Not soon–but if worst comes to worst, you can follow this simple chemical recipe and start coating your own glass plates.” Pictured here is a print from a glass plate negative using a handmade silver bromide emulsion, by Terry Holsinger. Link.

Superb!
Something I started forecasting some 30y ago: when photography reach certain
degree of perfection, it will follow the steps of academic painting. And so it
happened: Holga movement and Lomography are in fact start of photographic impressionism,
expressionism, naïve art etc. Digital didn’t bring death to film, just turned
it back into it’s impressionistic tracks.
