Saturday night in Pisa, Italy will be the first ever FutureFashion event. The wearable technology fashions featured are divided into four categories: Communicative, Adaptive, Fun, and Expressive. From the site, “How will we dress tomorrow? We will wear smart clothes, intelligent garments, that change color, shape, adapt to their environments, are expressive in new ways, and receive information at a distance over wireless networks, and mobile telecommunication technology.”
Saturday the 20th of May
The show starts with a conference-discussion at 6pm (18:00).
This is followed by the live catwalk show at 8pm (20:00).
Sunday the 21st of May
The garments will be on exhibition from 10am to 8pm (10:00 – 20:00).
Pictured above is the Hug Shirt created by CuteCircuit. The Hug Shirt is a bluetooth wired shirt that will allow you to feel the physical sensation of a hug from your loved ones. The work of twenty five designers in the new realm of fashion technology will be showcased including ones by our MAKE friends, Diana Eng & Emily Alibinski of Black Box Nation and Syuzi Pakhchyan of Sparklab.
