Gorgeous Gore: An Amazing Knit Mask From Brutal Knitting

Tracy Widdess of Brutal Knitting turned yarn into an incredible, knitted mask based on a surreal drawing by artist Stéphane Blanquet. Converting a 2D drawing to a knitted 3D object can be harder than it looks and Widdess spent several hours a day for over a month working on this piece using hand and machine knitting techniques.

All the time and effort that Widdess put into the project certainly paid off as far as I’m concerned because the result is one of the more intricate and unique pieces of handmade knitwear that I’ve ever seen!
