Very good explanation. I’ve often been told I should make garments for a living, only to turn and ask, “Do you want to pay $200 for a pair of socks?” It’s too difficult for people to truly understand, especially since in the US we’re used to cheap clothing made in a sweat shop in Bangladesh paying workers 5 cents an hour.

Great video–you also have to take into consideration the cost of the yarn–using a nice yarn can add quite a bit of $$ to the price.
