How-To: DIY Cat Maze

Youtube user billybrowne made this maze out of boxes as a thoughtful gift to his cat, Rufus.

He began to resent me due to painful ear drops to fix an infection. I would return from work and he would run from me! Now the ears are better I wanted to do something to show my gratitude for his putting up with my torture. Rufus loves boxes as all cats do so this is what I made for him.

Andrew this is so fantastic! Inspires me to try to create something like this for my own cats! PS – love that song in your video! Can you share the name/artist? Shazam doesn’t recognize it… thanks!

Hi kneecoalie, I didn’t actually make this project or the video about it, they were made by someone going by “billybrowne” (possibly a person named Billy Browne) and I just posted it here, but the song sounds to me like it might be by Rufus Wainwright, who I suspect the cat may be named after.

  2. Charles says:

Billy Browne is an Austrailian and he wrote about the music saying that it’s his brother’s band that performed it. Here’s the quote he wrote “The music is from my brother Ollie’s band, ‘Parallel Lions’, I hope you don’t mind me using it bro. Enjoy. (here is a link to the music” Hope this helps and that is a kick ass maze, I’m gonna make one for my cat :-)

So cute! Now all Rufus needs is a kitty friend to share it with! (PS, if you warm up the ear drops in your hands first, they aren’t painful. Cold ear drops are not fun. :)

I adore you for making your cat happy. We need more cat owners like you.
