Thank you so much! I had been wanting to figure this out but hadn’t gotten around to spending time on it. I love my Sony Reader, and this was just the piece I was missing! Thanks for the additional Reader links as well.

Actually when making PDFs for the Sony Reader, the preferred page size is a width of 3.57″ and a height of 4.59″. The slightly shorter height (vs. 4.82″ as recommended in this article) figure compensates for the portion of the screen that is reserved for the battery and font-size icons and the page number.
I find I prefer to use 10-point type for reading books. It means more page turns, but it helps make up for the graininess and low contrast of the E-Ink display.
