Here’s a neat gadget and cool idea for a (re)make, instead of tossing the iPod packaging, use it as a speaker! –
Bird-Electron presents this one and only Recycling Speaker for iPod. The dimension is exactly the same as the plastic package for iPod Nano (1st & 2nd Gen.) and iPod Shuffle (2nd & 3rd Gen.). Simply just place the speaker panel on top of the open box, and plug it into the iPod and play. Bird-Electron’s recycling speaker does not require any power source. You can also customize your own recycling speaker with any small container like a water bottle. Easy to install.

Since when is styrofoam disposable? It’s a severe environmental hazard to the food chain and takes a million years to break down.
@ the ipod case speakers: $39.99? you must be kidding me, I’m not paying $40 for something that’s “recycled”, that’s nothing, you’re buying a simple cable, simple speakers and a simple piece of plastic just to “recycle” another simple piece of plastic. Any real MAKER would MAKE their own.
@beerden: Okay, what do most people do when they use a styrofoam plate once, specifically the kind that are very thin? I’ll tell you what they do, they throw them away or DISPOSE OF THEM. You can bring up the argument that sytrofoam is not environmentally friendly friendly in a smart way, but that’s not what you did here. You’re trying to take away from someone REUSING it.
Sigh,
Styrofoam isn’t that biodegradable, but it
is very clean to produce. It’s like 90% air.
As long as you dispose of it in a landfill,
it’ll be O.K.
