Cousins Brian and Leon Dewan make “analog, solid-state” instruments covered in knobs and dials, housed in beautifully finished cases. The instruments are called Dewanatrons.
From MAKE Volume 27:
It’s impossible to precisely control, so the “primates-in-charge” must guide the machine to produce melodies, percussion, and innumerable unpredictable sound effects. Brian explains, “It is the responsibility of each primate to encourage or restrain the instrument.”

I used to host Brian Dewan’s website, years and years ago, he is an impressive Maker and musician, furniture, musical instruments (including some of the Blue Man Group’s stuff, in the past, if I’m remembering right), all sorts of great stuff.
Do not attempt to save expensive pieces of equipment . Try to keep a level head through all of this excitement.
Whoopee, they reinvented the synthesizer from the 70’s. I click the click expecting to hear a musical demonstration and instead get to look at pictures. Great way to show off those instruments guys, FAIL!
