Another cool piece of software from Murat Konar (who brought us the MacBS2), the “GarageRemote” is a free Mac OSX preference pane that allows the control of GarageBand’s transport functions from any MIDI Controller with programmable buttons. So if you’ve built a MIDI device, you can easily get GarageBand to listen to incoming noteon/noteoff messages to produce sounds which can be recorded in the program, etc.. Pretty nice little app that has gone through several revisions since its initial release a few years ago.
