Iain made this awesome Guitar Tuner for a Blind User, by adding audio feedback to a tuner designed for sighed people. That’s an excellent use of electrical engineering skills!

Sooo… You can use your ears to let the electronics tell you what is/isn’t in tune? Why not skip a step, save some batteries, and buy a pitch pipe?
Thanks a bunch, mate, that’s exactly the kind of pub-style wisdom I had to face when I started to learn the guitar. Very, vey few beginners have the ear to tune a guitar with a tuning fork or whistle, right from the start and if they try, a blind learner never knoews whether or not he’s succeeded. Not to mention the problem how to tune a guitar on stage in a loud room if you can’t see.
I think this is a great invention, it’s something I’ve been looking for, and I just wonder how to get one of these.
