Omegas writes in about the DIY Minimoog – “If you want to get started with analog synth building but Minimoog seems too complicated, see the instructions at Music From Outer Space on how to build your first synth. The Weird Sound Generator, as it’s called, familiarizes you with the basics of analog sound generation and creates wicked sounds too.” See previous.

Has anyone figured out how to rig a CV input to this synth? This could be a cool “take-along” synth, perhaps with a simple MIDI/CV interface…
it would be a better idea to build the very simple wp-20, it’s a fully featured synth with vco, ad module, lfo, noise gen, . it’s unsupported but people keep on building it. it’s featured on the same site:

This couldn’t be more timely for me; I just finished a super simple 555-based tone generator (digital pulse tone goodness) and was working on a transistor-based circuit. My collection of 70’s and 80’s electronics books is handy, but doesn’t go quite far enough. Thanks!! :-)
