This is the prototype for a plasma arc speaker kit. Apparently it uses 60,000 volts to generate the arc and sound. If a kit does get released, put me on the list!

I will point out though that this is more than just a light/sound show. In addition to the sound and lightning, you probably get synchronized bursts of X-rays too….

Don’t forget about the Ozone too!
I saw an article about this a long while back (60’s) using an oxy fuel flame doped with sodium. Couple the audio to a high voltage source via a transformer.
Do a search for “ionovac speakers”. They used a plasma modulated with audio.

Thanks for the info. They do seem to produce ozone and should be used in a well ventilated area. At least that’s what I found.
This should really be demo’d with AC/DC’s High Voltage, instead. :)
