PanoramaScanCam – “first light”

Since the last update I posted, I was able to work out a number of optical, mechanical, and electrical issues. A new lens is now attached to the (heavily reworked) scanner head. They have been attached to the camera cylinder. Last weekend, I did a test operation of the PanoramaScanCam and obtained “first light”. Since then, I moved the registration sensor from the scanner head circuit board to the side of the camera cylinder. Remaining tasks are the clean up of the top cover of the case, addition of a shroud to cover the scanner head, and resolving the issue of infrared light sensitivity in the scanner’s CCD sensor.
